Vacation Pictures

We had another week off, and decided to do some more day trips and fix some things around the house. We had to take the cars in for maintenance and the puppy in for his first set of shots. We took the Metrolink to San Juan Capistrano. The kids got a kick out of riding the train. We left at 11:00 and we were the only ones in our train car. The kids were shocked when we came home and the train was so crowded with commuters. Kaycee had another sand soccer tournament in Huntington Beach. We had to be there at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday and we stayed until 9:30 p.m. The whole team stayed for a wienie roast and s'mores. Needless to say we were all sunburned even with all the sunscreen we put on. Then we had to come back and do it all over again on Sunday.

Kaycee's Promotion

I can't believe I'm old enough to have two children in High School. Kaycee promoted to High School with High Honors. She is so excited to be grown up!!. Matt can't wait to be the "Big Brother" and show her everything. Pretty soon he will be driving and I won't even have to worry about them getting to school. The first picture is of all the Northridge Elementary School kids. The second picture is of Kaycee and one of her good friends Jessica.

"Santa Monica"

We spent the weekend in Santa Monica for a sand soccer tournament. We had such a great time! the weather was perfect. Kaycee's team played three games (two on Saturday and one on Sunday) They won one and lost two but they had soooo much fun!!! They had never played barefoot or in the sand. It's much harder than it seems. Have you ever tried to run on the beach? The ball even bounces differently. Here are some pictures. MAXWELL

We got a new addition to our family, Maxwell, he is 8 weeks old, part Chow, Lab and German Shepherd. (A friends dog got out and look what happened!). Boy I forgot what it's like to have a baby in the house. The first night was the worst...Max whined all night (he was missing his 6 brothers and sisters). But each night has gotten better. Bandit was quite nervous of Maxwell. She wasn't sure she liked giving up all the attention to this little thing. But when I woke up this morning Bandit and Maxwell were curled up together. She now thinks she's MAMA!!

Kaycee's Music Video

Kaycee had a project in Social Studies to make a music video about a historical event. She enjoyed making the video and decided to make one of our family. I don't know how the kids these days know so much about the computer. They have to show me how to do the simplest things!!! Hope you enjoy this...

Nothing New !!!!

We have been so busy with all the sports and after school events, I haven't been able to write. Well Matt was real excited because he was elected to be the Social Coordinator for his Avid Classes. (Avid is a program that helps get the middle of the road kids ready for college.) He is perfect for this position. Anytime we have a vacation Matt is the one to get on the computer and find us something to do. Kaycee has had a rough couple of games of soccer. On Saturday they lost to the first place team, and since she was playing goaling she took this loss personally. You try to tell her that it is a team effort but she has a hard head. ( Like all Davis' ). We had Paula's girls over a couple of weekends ago while her and Scott went to Vegas. Kaycee loves when her cousins come to stay. Wish I had pictures to show but I forgot to take any. Like I said not much of anything going on here!!!
