Bridal Shower

This last Saturday Paula and I had a bridal shower for Laura ( Terri's son Sandon's fiance). They are getting married at Lake Arrowhead on August 15th. We had a great time planning the shower. We got to get together and go shopping for decorations, and go out to lunch. (Who doesn't like that?) I think we did a great job!! Here are some pictures.

4th of July

Every year Moreno Valley along with the local oldies station (Kola 99.9) put on a 4th of July extravaganza. It usually starts out with a parade and all day celebration at the local junior high and ends with a concert and a great fireworks display. This year was Eddie Money. We had a great time we skipped the parade and ended up picking up a box of KFC and headed for the grass to hear Eddie Money and his famous song "Two tickets to paradise". They opened up with a country bad called the Doo Riders. They were pretty good. Then came Eddie Money, he was great and put on a great show. We also watched a pretty terrific fireworks display. Getting home was a nightmare. We live only 10 minutes away but it took us almost an hour to get home. It amazes me how rude people are when it comes to getting out of a parking lot!!!

Kaycee bored with all the "Old Fogey Music" ( she's flipping her cell phone which is never out of sight)

Vacation Pictures

We had another week off, and decided to do some more day trips and fix some things around the house. We had to take the cars in for maintenance and the puppy in for his first set of shots. We took the Metrolink to San Juan Capistrano. The kids got a kick out of riding the train. We left at 11:00 and we were the only ones in our train car. The kids were shocked when we came home and the train was so crowded with commuters. Kaycee had another sand soccer tournament in Huntington Beach. We had to be there at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday and we stayed until 9:30 p.m. The whole team stayed for a wienie roast and s'mores. Needless to say we were all sunburned even with all the sunscreen we put on. Then we had to come back and do it all over again on Sunday.
Jim and I taking a breather!!
