On Sunday we went to the California Speedway for our annual redneck weekend. Jim and I have had season tickets for about 10 years. We have four seats, Paula and Scott used to use two of the seats, but when they opted out we kept the four and decided we would take the kids. This race was a little boring. We had a great time anyway, the weather wasn't too hot which was a plus!!! For a couple of years it was almost too hot to sit in the stands, and torture for the kids. We even made it out of the parking lot in record time. (We finally figured out that if you park closest to the street instead of closest to the track, you get out faster).

Owen would've loved that. He's such a fan of the disney movie Cars. And his dad has made him a huge fan of Jeff Gordon. So if he'd been at the race, he would've been in hog heaven:)
